Are your Organic products certified organic? Who are they verified through?
Yes! All our Organic products are Certified Organic by Quality Assurance International (QAI), a leader in organic certification services. Look for the USDA Organic Seal on our bottles!
Are your Organic products vegan? If no, why not?
Are your Organic products formulated like your other products?
Where do the ingredients come from? Are they made in the USA?
All SmartyPants products are made with premium domestic and imported ingredients and manufactured in a GMP-Compliant facility in North America. Every batch of SmartyPants is third-party lab tested to ensure that what you see on our labels is what you get in our bottles.
All SmartyPants ingredients are approved using Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) processes set forth by the FDA. These strict quality control guidelines safeguard the health of the consumer and assure the purity and potency of the product and its ingredients.
This means you can trust that our vitamins have been produced to the highest quality standards on the market.
Why don’t your Organic products include CoQ10 like your others?
Are SmartyPants Organics 100% Natural?
SmartyPants Organics are certified-organic and certified-vegetarian. But they are not 100% natural, and for good reason.
When we formulate our products, we want to use the best possible ingredients, and ingredient forms, in order to make the best supplement. Sometimes, that means using synthetic ingredients, which can be more stable than their natural counterparts. By using synthetic forms, we’re also able to control the purity, potency, and stability to ensure they’re safe and effective.
The National Organic Program recognizes that it’s not practical to use all non-synthetic forms, so their organic guidelines approve the use of synthetic forms in dietary supplements.
How do you choose the source and amount of each vitamin to include?
We carefully craft our SmartyPants Organics formulas to match the specific nutritional recommendations of each product’s target demographic (age, sex, life stage, and etc.).
The nutrients and quantities we include are based on the Institute of Medicine’s recommendations and the latest science and advice from leading nutritional experts, all with consideration to cost.
We also utilize current research on dietary patterns to ensure that our multifunctional formulas fill typical nutrient gaps in the Western diet and serve as an all-in-one supplement, giving you more of what you want and less of what you don’t.
Do you use corn in your Organic products?
Are your Organic products gluten-free?
Yes! All SmartyPants products, including our new SmartyPants Organics, are gluten-free.
Our Organic products are also Non-GMO Project Verified and don’t contain any synthetic colors or artificial flavors or sweeteners. They’re gelatin-free and free of major allergens including: milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, shellfish and soy. Each batch is third-party lab tested for purity and potency.
Why are your Organic products so expensive?
Like all SmartyPants products, we only use premium ingredients in our new Organics supplements. Sourcing superior ingredients that are also organic, vegetarian, and Non-GMO can cost more.
Are your Organic products kosher? If no, why not?
No. At this time, our SmartyPants Organics supplements are not Kosher or Halal.
We understand that many people avoid consuming animal products for religious or dietary reasons, so we are hard at work creating a Kosher/Halal formula.
If you’re interested in hearing about those products when they arrive, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to be added to our mailing list.
How many CFU are in each Organic product?
Which probiotic strains are used in your Organics products? Why?
We use one probiotic strain in our SmartyPants Organics products called Bacillus subtilis DE111®.
The research on probiotics is new and constantly evolving, but we do know that different species of probiotics perform many different functions. We specifically chose to include Bacillus subtilis DE111® because it’s backed by research and is proven to deliver optimal digestive and immune health benefits.*
B. subtilis DE111® is also a spore-forming probiotic which means that it’s naturally microencapsulated. This helps it survive time on the shelf, as well as harsh stomach acid, without refrigeration.
This natural microencapsulation ensures that the majority of our probiotics will reach your gut alive, where they can flourish, multiply, and help you thrive.*
Why don’t you use algal oil in your Organic products?
Although algal oil is a good source of omega-3 DHA fatty acid, it doesn’t currently exist in an organic form.
What’s the source of Omega-3 for your Organic products? Why was this chosen?
Why do you use flaxseed oil instead of fish oil in your Organic products?
Flaxseed oil provides good omega-3 in the form of α-Linolenic acid. We use it in our Organic products because it’s certified-organic and vegetarian.
